Bhaskar Sangeet Vidyalay
In 1949, the Pune Bharat Gayan Samaj started a separate division for imparting music training, which was called 'Bhaskar Sangeet Vidyalay'. It offers lessons in Vocal training, Harmonium, Tabla, Violin, Sitar as well as dance forms like Bharatnatyam and Kathak. Currently, the institute has nearly 200 students.
The Course duration is 10 years. Every year exams are conducted in the curriculum. after successfully passing the 3rd year, 5th year, 7th year, and 10th year exams, the students are given the 'Mashyama', 'Kushal', 'Visharad' and 'Parangat'. certificate in the given order. of these, the last two certificates have been granted government recognition since 1962.
According to the govt. GR dated 20th Dec. 1961, Sr. No. SSN- 3460, the persons, who are granted these certificates, can be appointed as music teachers in various institutions in Maharashtra state that impart such training.
In affiliation with our institute, students from institutes from all over the state can appear for the music examination. Presently, institutes from Mumbai, Dombivali, Baramati, Shegaon, Yavatmal, Nagpur, Jalgaon, Pachora, and Nashik are affiliated with our institute.
The trust charge a very nominal fee from the students taking admission to various courses offered.
